Empower Girls as a Girls on the Run Coach

Apply to be a Coach | Coach Requirements | Coach Resources

As a Girls on the Run coach, you'll help girls:

  • Accept themselves and others
  • Stand up to bullies
  • Develop a positive self-image
  • Make healthier choices
  • Confidently chase their dreams
  • Change the world

Girls on the Run coaches do not have to be runners themselves; the basic requirements are enthusiasm and commitment to the healthy development of young girls and themselves. In fact, we want girls to meet female and male role models of all shapes, sizes, and abilities, just like them!

Over the course of 10-weeks, you'll meet twice a week for 90 minutes with girls in 3rd through 5th grade (Girls on the Run) or girls in 6th through 8th grade (Heart & Sole)*. Our scripted curriculum will guide you through each lesson, and everything you need—supplies, snacks, & handouts—is provided for you in your coaching tote.

*Please note that Heart & Sole is offered only in the spring season.

Coaching Benefits
